In honor of our mother, Miss Sheilah Dancer, blessing this earth 56 years ago today we wanted to pay tribute to her and all that she is in our lives.
Isn’t she beautiful?
When I (Taylor) sat down to think about how to express to the rest of the world (well let’s be real… our friends and brides that actually read this) how incredible our momma is… I just began to think of all the amazing lessons my mother has taught me. A few of many that I will share…
She has… ALWAYS ALWAYS challenged me to “be BIG” even when it was so easy to want to be small… shown me how to love the people around me and to not take even the smallest moments for granted… encouraged me to bloom where I was planted even if I didn’t think I liked the soil…taught me that the tough stuff only makes you stronger and better…. reminded me that I was beautiful no matter what anyone else said, and she always told me when I absolutely needed to hear it… never fought my battles, but equipped me to always fight my own… taught me how to have empathy for those who are hurting, those who have less, and those who need more… always given be strength especially when I was at my weakest… given me the confidence to know who I am and to be proud of it regardless of those who made me feel like I was less…taught us ALL how to give and give and give…. taught me the importance of travel and perspective… always stressed the value of balance in our lives… AND most importantly of all she has shown ALL of us how to love. How to love so hard, so completely, and unconditionally.
I could honestly go on and on about the bajillion ways our mom demonstrates and lives by example of how we should love and live but I’m not sure I would ever be able to fully express just how wonderful she truly is!
Our mother is the most remarkable women on this planet and my life/our lives are blessed every single day by her heart and zest for life. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA… thank you for all that you are and all that you do!
Happy Birthday to the most amazing woman I (Kacey) will ever know… my Mama.
She is my heart and the reason I am who I am today. She is a true example of strength, love and all that aspire to be. I feel so lucky to have the example she has set for me as a woman, Mother, business owner, Friend, wife, sister, daughter and grandmother. She is genuine, silly, comfortable in her own skin, confident, loving, warm, sincere and beautiful. She holds all of us accountable for all that we are and all that we do while being our biggest fan. We have been through great times and hard times as a family, but we were always a team and our Mom always made the best of whatever the circumstances. I am celebrating my fabulous mom today for all the beautiful moments that we have had together and all those that are still to come.
Mom, I treasure you and I love you with all of my heart! Thank you for for being you! Happy Birthday!!
To the sassiest, classiest, most fabulous women on the planet… we love you so so much and are so grateful for the role you have played and continue to play in our lives. Here is to you on your birthday… hope you feel truly loved and celebrated!
We would love it if any of our mom’s friends and/or family who are reading this would share a memory or a maybe even just write a little note of why you love her so much in the comments section below. Thannks a million (a classic Sheilah statement)
Chris and Cherilyn’s day was a breath of fresh air. We were so excited to be shooting at The Heard Museum because it provided such a unique backdrop and definitely got our creative juices flowing. Their ceremony was at All Saints Episcopal Church in Phoenix and each time we shoot there the ceremonies are not only beautiful but also very different. The reception to follow was equally as fun with incredible lighting and scenery all of which was beautifully coordinated by the lovely Care with Sterling Event Design. Chris and Cherilyn were both so gracious and sweet, and we felt so lucky to be able to capture their special day! We love you both… congratulations!
Cherilyn’s stunning dress was purchased at (our fave) Uptown Bridal & Boutique in Chandler.
Garage by Ivy did all of the breath taking arrangements… her work is flawless!
more amazing work from Ivy!
Sterling Event Design did such a great job with all the details.
Well this is a wedding day all of the About Love girls had been looking forward to. Kacey and I’s cousin, Krista, and her man, Drew, tied the knot or as they like to say “got hooked” June 16th in smokin’ hot Austin Texas (you may remember these cuties from their Austin Engagement photos last Fall). I had the lovely honor of being one of her bridesmaids so all of these beautiful photos are full credit to Kacey and our lovely Amanda. Krista and Drew’s day was filled with lots of laughs, sweat
, TEARS, bug bites, but above all else precious moments and memories. They were married at The University of Texas Austin – Alumni Center, which shares a special place in both of their hearts as well as their family’s. Krista and I have always shared a very unique bond, and I have always admired and looked up to her for so many reasons… she has always been so driven, she has a beautifully contagious energy, she loved everyone around her without condition, she has legit creative skills (which she adamantly denies having, but no one is fooled), and she is without a doubt beautiful from the inside out. So without further or do… I hope everyone can see the love from both sides of the camera through these photos.
