I am so pumped to share this post!!! I had the amazing opportunity to head over to one of my favorite cities in the US… none other than Austin, Texas… to photograph my absolutely stunning cousin, Krista, and her hubby-to-be, Drew. We had such a blast prowling around the UT Campus, Congress Street, and some other cool spots to capture just how smitten the two of them are.

They will be getting married next Juneat the UT Alumni Center, and because I have the blessing of being able to stand next to her on the big day my big sis (the other half of About Love.) will be the one lucky enough to capture the day. This is precisely why I couldn’t possibly miss the chance to capture their engagement.

We truly had a blast and reliving the laughs and good times as I look at these pictures reminds me what a blessing both Krista and Drew are in our lives. YaY for engagements, family, AND the weird city of Austin!

This wedding was a very special and unique experience for us. We were not only a part of a huge celebration of the love that Sara and Casey share but it was also a celebration of life.

I think it would only be appropriate to share how Sara first found us, she was at the bridal show and because Kacey and I were shooting a wedding we had recruited a hand ful of our closest ladies to work the show. Well needless to say on the back of the paper that Sara had filled out for us to contact her with more info was written “The prettiest girl any of us have ever ever seen EVER!!! AND quite possibly the sweetest”. Well… they were absolutely correct! Sarah is a beauty inside and out and we both feel so incredibly blessed to know her.

Sara’s story is unique also in that a little over a year ago she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, having gone through several rounds of chemo and radiation she is now CANCER FREE. Praise God!  Kacey and I both could go on and on and on about how incredibly wonderful Miss Sara is and truly what an absolute pleasure it was to share in this special day. You can read all about her journey with cancer and her wedding planning on her blog… SincerelySaraCate. She is an incredible inspiration and a beautiful writer so if you want to have something to do for the next few hours her blog is a great place to land.

Casey is also special because I have known him for the last four years, where we met in Greek life at ASU. Casey was a Delta Sigma Phi and I was an Alpha Phi and we both were also involved in Devils’ Advocates where I was able to see Casey’s passion not only for ASU but also for people, and medicine. We have no doubt that he will make an incredible doctor in the very near future.

Sara and Casey are wonderful people individually and together even more remarkable. Here are some of our absolute favorites from the BIG day.
